Freshworks has officially initiated efforts toward FedRAMP Moderate Authorization for Freshservice, our AI-powered service management platform. To guide us through the process, Freshworks has partnered with Coalfire, a preeminent provider of FedRAMP compliance assessments and advisory services in the United States.

This is more than a milestone. It reflects our vision for a modern, secure, and efficient public sector.

In our discussions with public sector IT leaders, one theme is clear: agencies are under increasing pressure to optimize operations, improve service delivery, and do more with limited resources. At the same time, many are still constrained by fragmented legacy tools that were not built for today's speed, complexity, or workforce expectations.

Public-sector teams do not need another basic ticketing system. They need an intelligent service operations platform that automates repetitive work, unifies service delivery, and helps employees get the support they need faster.

Whether in a federal agency or an educational institution, today’s workforce expects technology that is intuitive, secure, and AI-powered. By pursuing FedRAMP Authorization, Freshworks is taking an important step toward making the Freshservice experience available to public-sector organizations that require rigorous security and compliance standards.

That is the problem Freshservice was built to solve. And today, we are taking a significant step toward solving it at scale for the public sector.

Achieving FedRAMP Authorization

Achieving FedRAMP Authorization is an important milestone because it establishes the security foundation agencies need to confidently adopt Freshservice in highly regulated public-sector environments. But authorization is just the starting point for helping agencies modernize how work gets done.

The real opportunity is what happens after achieving FedRAMP Authorization, when agencies can finally move away from fragmented legacy platforms and consolidate disparate solutions into a unified platform that covers IT service management, operations, asset management, and employee support in a single experience.

We’re already seeing strong momentum across State, Local, and Education (SLED) markets, with government organizations turning to Freshservice to modernize their IT service management. Organizations like the City of Bellevue, the City of Fort Collins, and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office rely on Freshservice to deliver quality employee service and run efficient technology operations. FedRAMP authorization is the next step in bringing that same capability to the federal agencies and organizations that require it.

The next chapter of government modernization will be defined by which agencies make the smartest technology choices: platforms that unify service and operations, integrate AI seamlessly, and are intuitive enough for people to actually use.

That is the promise of Freshservice. We’re proud to bring it to the public sector, with a security posture that supports mission-critical work.

Upon achieving FedRAMP Moderate Authorization, Freshservice will be available to federal agencies and continue to serve state, local, and education organizations pursuing digital transformation and AI-powered service delivery. Freshworks will have more to share as the authorization process progresses.
