Connect your Freshdesk account with VoIP providers all over the world, with DevXConnect. The embedded Freshdesk app will work directly after starting up your Freshdesk account. This premium app provides the features of Xelion and offers from inside Freshdesk! This means you will be able to use all the known features you want like:
- Freshdesk ticket creation/contact search for all calls
- Click to dial
- On-screen caller info with pop-up
- Call Transfers
- Voicemail recordings/missed calls
- Queue insight
- Conference calls
- Recording calls
INSTALLATION AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP (I) - Creating a DevXConnect account:
1. Open your internet browser and go to https://devxconnect.com/.
2. Click on the Register button in the top right corner of the website to start creating your DevXConnect account.
3. Fill in the following fields: Username, Email address, Password, Confirm password.
4. Click on the Register button to create your DevXConnect account.
5. Click on the verification link in the email sent to the email address you have entered to verify your DevXConnect account.
STEP (II) - Creating a connection between Xelion and Freshdesk:
1. Open your internet browser and go to https://devxconnect.com/.
2. Click on the Login button in the top right corner of the website.
3. Fill in the following fields: Username, Password.
4. Click on the Login button.
5. You are now logged in to the dashboard of your account. Click on the Get started button on the dashboard.
6. Step 1: Create User
Note:
If you only require one account to be set up for the connection you may skip this step.
To skip this step press the skip button.
If you do need to add another/more user(s) to the connection follow the steps below.
Adding one user:
If you need to add another user to the connection fill in the required fields.
Click on the add user button.
Adding multiple users:
To add multiple users to the connection use the Add Multiple Users button and fill in the required fields.
If you need more fields to add more users you can press on the + icon.
Verifying the user(s):
The user(s) that have been added need to be verified by clicking the link in the verification email sent to the email address(es) you have entered.
7. Step 2: Create Connection
Select the two service providers you need to create a connection.
In this case you need to click on Freshdesk and Xelion.
Enter the credentials for Freshdesk and Xelion in the required fields and enter a title for the name of your connection. After all fields have been filled in, click on the submit button to create the connection.
Explanation for the required credentials:
Freshdesk
Freshdesk subdomain:
This is the first part of your Freshdesk URL or the Freshdesk URL of your organization.
For example in organization.freshdesk.com the word organization is the subdomain. Usually the Freshdesk subdomain is the name of the organization.
API Key:
Click on the link or enter the URL in your browser and follow these steps: https://support.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/215517-how-to-find-your-api-key
Xelion
Username: Xelion account username
Password: Xelion account password
Host URL: Xelion account Host
Is SSL?: If SSL is true choose Yes, if SSL is false choose No
Tenant name: Xelion account Tenant name
8. Step 3: Link User
Select the account(s) you want to assign to the created connection and click on the Assign User button.
STEP (III) - Installing the DevXConnect application in Freshdesk
1. Go to the Freshworks Marketplace https://www.freshworks.com/apps/freshdesk/.
2. Search for the application: DevXConnect.
3. Click on the DevXConnect application.
4. Click on the install button.
5. Enter your Freshdesk URL to proceed and click on the Proceed button.
Opening the DevXConnect application in Freshdesk
1. Go to your Freshdesk URL.
2. Click in the toolbar on the left on the DevXConnect logo that should appear in the bottom section of the toolbar.
3. Enter your DevXConnect account username and password.
4. Click on the Login button.
