2010
Founders Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy begin work on creating a user-focused cloud-based customer service software. Freshdesk is officially incorporated.
2011
Freshdesk raises its first round of funding, worth $1 million, from VC firm Accel and bags it’s first customer Atwell College, Australia.
2012
Freshdesk raises its second round of funding, worth $5 million, from New York-based investment firm Tiger Global Management and Accel.
2015
Freshdesk acquires 1CLICK.io, Konotor, and Frilp.
2016
Freshdesk launches its second product—Freshsales, a CRM product.
2017
Freshdesk Inc. rebrands to Freshworks Inc.
2018
Freshworks crosses $100 million in annual recurring revenue; unveils Freshworks 360, a multi-product suite.
2019
Freshworks enters three Gartner Magic Quadrant Reports in the Customer Engagement Software segment and Features #40 on the Forbes Cloud 100 list for the third consecutive year.
2020
Freshworks crosses $200 million in annual recurring revenue, and features as the only ‘Visionary’ company in Gartner’s MQ for CRM Customer Engagement Center and rises to #16 on the Forbes Cloud 100 list.
2021
Freshworks crosses $300 million in annual recurring revenue, and continues to be the only ‘Visionary’ company in Gartner’s MQ for CRM Customer Engagement Center for the second consecutive year.
