What’s New: Improved User Management, Export a Report and more

Wow! It’s been 2 weeks since our first product update announcement and we’re ready with the next one. A lot of new and interesting updates on this post so fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride.

Activate and deactivate users

When a sales rep goes on a long break, or leaves your organization, or is transferred to a different business unit, you obviously don’t want new leads, contacts, tasks and appointments assigned to the user. In such scenarios, you can simply deactivate the user (even temporarily) so they can no longer sign into your Freshsales account.

However, their existing records are retained to create reports, or when you reactivate, the user can begin working on them again.

If you have admin privileges, head over to AdminUsers and deactivate the ones you don’t need. Learn more about deactivating users.

Export a Report as CSV

You can now work with the report data in another application by exporting the report as a CSV file. Go over to the report you want to export (or create one) and hit Export as CSV button. You can even customize the columns you want to export in the CSV file. Once the export is complete, you’ll receive an email, from where you can download the CSV file. It’s as simple as that.

View your ‘Completed’ tasks

Going to ‘My Tasks and Appointments’ each time to view the list of Completed tasks can be quite tedious. How about viewing it right from the records details page?

Apart from viewing the Open tasks for a record, you can now view the ‘Completed’ tasks for a record from the details page. This is especially essential in cases when a lead is transferred, the new owner can see all the tasks that had been executed for the lead by other sales reps.

That’s not all, you can also view the historic and upcoming tasks while migrating from another CRM.

Multi currency support extended to iOS and Android mobile apps

In our previous update, we had included more currencies for deal values. Now we’ve extended the currency support in our iOS and Android mobile apps. So go ahead and set the currency under AdminCRM Settings and find it reflected in the mobile app.

Quick look at filtered deals in list and funnel view

You no longer have to save a custom view to see the filtered data in the funnel view. Just apply the deal filters, switch between list view and funnel view to see the filtered data and then save the view.

And a lot more…

  • API to log calls manually from third-party services: If you’re using a third-party phone or chat service, you can now push the data into Freshsales using our public call log API. What’s more, you can even filter records using the last contacted and last contacted mode.
  • Add a call type for manual call logs: While manually logging calls, you can now select whether it was an incoming or outgoing call.
  • No file size limit on Salesforce Import: We’ve removed the file size limit of 50 MB on the Salesforce import so you can now experience a more seamless migration.

Well, that’s all for this update folks! Try out these features and let us know your feedback in the comments below. And as usual, if you’ve any request for features you want to see in Freshsales, don’t hesitate to drop an email to us at support@freshsales.io
