Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team to help us structure and process large chunks of raw data. You will be required to go through data structure them and present them in an easily consumable manner. Your contribution will increase understanding of data within the company providing higher context to the work being done therefore increasing the quality of service we provide.


IT and Development

The IT and Development department is the department within a company that is charged with establishing, monitoring and maintaining information technology systems and services.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process large amounts of raw data.
  • Structuring unstructured data and drawing conclusions out of them.
  • Making data presentable and understandable through formatting and processing.
  • Finding authentic data sources.
  • Automating data collection processes.
  • Visualising data and presenting them in a consumable manner like charts and graphs.
  • Identifying the problem areas after analysing data and providing the solution.
  • Creating prediction charts after identifying patterns.
  • Collaborating with other teams to collect and process data like engineering and development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics or relevant fields.
  • Prior experience as a data analyst or data scientist is a bonus.
  • Good knowledge of machine learning, operations research and data mining.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving and business skills.
  • Knowledge of computer languages like C++, Java, SQL, so on, is an asset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent at time management and multitasking with an attention to detail.


Average Salary

On average $61,554 per annum.
