Freedom of Association is the right of an individual to join or resign from a group voluntarily. It gives the group members the right to take collective action to pursue/defend the interests of its members. It is the right of individuals to come together to express, promote and pursue their common interests. At the workplace, it is often seen as the right of an employee to join a trade union, participate in debates, political parties, clubs, religious fraternities and so on.
