Definition of Sensitivity Training:

Sensitivity training is an organizational development technique aimed at improving employee well being and fostering self-awareness of their thoughts and prejudices to others.

Usually, employees belonging to different genders, culture, abilities, and backgrounds come together in an open environment, where different issues are discussed and amicably addressed. 

Why is it important to have Sensitivity training?

Sensitivity training helps employees know what is acceptable and what is not while treating their co-workers. This includes correct emotional behaviour, saying the right words, and respecting their culture. It teaches them to be more accepting of diversity at the workplace, and helps in developing good working relationships.
