Freshsales, Freshchat and Freshcaller customers in the region will benefit from additional security and faster data transfers
Freshworks Inc, a global leader in customer engagement software, today announced that it has expanded the number of products hosted on its Sydney data centre, to include CRM solution, Freshsales, chat software, Freshchat, and call centre option, Freshcaller. Launched in January last year, the Sydney data centre already hosts the enormously popular Freshdesk and Freshservice products. For customers in the region, local hosting provides additional security, faster data transfers, and lower latencies, which are critical for many Australian-based enterprises.
Local hosting means that Freshworks is able to meet the data sovereignty and privacy requirements across health, government, financial services amongst other industries.
Research accelerator Intersect.org.au was one of the earliest adopters of Freshworks products in Australian data centres. "Data privacy and locality considerations are ever increasing in criticality in both security and legal contexts", comments CEO Marc Bailey. "Expanding local Freshworks data centre offerings delivers on a long term commitment and will enable a 360 view of our research community, from first contact through to supercomputing support, without exporting personal data." Intersect is now augmenting Freshservice with Freshsales to enhance personal empathy, attentiveness and service for its customer base of thousands of researchers across Australia and New Zealand.

The company has over 2,200 paying customers in Australia and New Zealand and launched its second office in the region, in Melbourne, during April of this year. The office opened in response to soaring Australian local growth, with annual recurring revenues increasing by 5X since the opening of the Sydney office in September 2015.
