The current marketplace has more than 1300 public apps built by Freshworks developers. As Freshworks and our customers grow, so are the opportunities for developers and developer partners. And now opportunities for developers have only gotten bigger and better with the enhanced developer experience. To ensure we are consistently delivering a greater experience for our customers and developer partners we are launching the Freshworks Paid Apps Program!

We are committed to providing our expanding developer ecosystem with the tools and resources needed to succeed. Here’s what developers can expect while building for the Freshworks marketplace:
Fast-growing global customer base
Freshworks Marketplace allows customers to extend their Freshworks product experience that caters to their business needs. Currently, close to 60% of Freshworks’ 58000+ global customers install apps from the Marketplace. With a fast-growing global customer base and the burgeoning SaaS market, there’s never been a better time to become a Freshworks Developer!
Best-in-class development experience
We know that getting started can sometimes be challenging. So to make the App development and publishing journey smoother and seamless we have built many comprehensive learning resources and potential use cases. Attractive payout structure
In the past year, the technological innovation from our developer partners and developers spurred amazing new apps (extensions and integrations) we could have never imagined when we first introduced the marketplace. The revenue model is aimed to further help developers and developer partners be successful by building more.
The general revenue share percentage for paid apps remains to be 80-20% between developers/developer partners and Freshworks. However, with an active incentive program here’s how the revenue share would look like:
Incentive program III
- Get 100% revenue for three months by building two paid apps using platform 3.0. by June 15th, 2024
- Get 100% revenue for six months by building three paid apps using platform 3.0. by June 15th, 2024
- Get 100% revenue for one year by building four or more paid apps using platform 3.0. by June 15th, 2024
Incentive program II (closed now)
- Submit two apps by Sep 30th, 2023, to get 100% revenue for three months
- Submit three apps by Sep 30th, 2023, and get 100% revenue for six months
- Submit four or more apps by Sep 30th, 2023, and get 100% of revenue for a year
Incentive program I (closed now)
- Submit an app by May 15, 2023 to get 100% revenue for 6 months
- Submit 2 apps by May 15, 2023 and get 100% revenue for 9 months
- Submit 3 or more apps by May 15, 2023 and get 100% revenue for a year
In addition, we will not charge a registration fee to create a developer account for the marketplace. You can simply visit the Freshworks Developers platform to create your account hassle-free.
Faster time to market
We have also enhanced our app review and publishing process to ensure that apps are published on the marketplace faster than ever. Once the review process is completed we will notify developer partners and developers of the status immediately and publish the apps on the Freshworks Marketplace. We will also provide developers with various marketing opportunities to showcase the apps via webinars, events, emails, and more to our global audience. However, publishing time may get extended if the app doesn’t abide by the Freshworks policy. You can read through the FAQs on our website to know more.
